Marlin Equity Partners have announced that they have acquired Heimdal™ Security (Heimdal), a Danish-based business and European provider of cloud-based cybersecurity solutions.
Headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, Heimdal maintains a strong presence in Scandinavia, as well as the U.K. and U.S. markets.
Heimdal’s comprehensive endpoint security suite is delivered through a subscription-based, multi-tenant cloud platform that allows companies to protect themselves and their customers from cybercrime, as well as safeguard critical information and intellectual property.
“Heimdal’s exceptional product offering, talented and passionate workforce and established customer base together serve as an excellent platform for our next phase of growth,” said Morten Kjaersgaard, CEO of Heimdal.
“Marlin has an outstanding track record of partnering with and stewarding software and technology companies, and we look forward to their strategic, operational and financial support as we continue to grow the business for the benefit of our international customer base,” Kjaersgaard added.
“In the face of modern threats, Heimdal is uniquely positioned to address the rapidly evolving cybersecurity needs of small and medium-sized enterprises, for whom traditional solutions such as antivirus and firewalls are proving increasingly insufficient,” said Florian Hofmann, a principal at Marlin.
“Heimdal’s rapid growth and outstanding reputation in the market are [a] testament to its ability to address critical security shortcomings and deliver tangible business value to customers. We are excited to partner with an exceptional management team and support them in accelerating growth, enhancing the product offering and expanding international operations.”
